Line of Duty Death: November 20, 2019

Chief Warrant Officer 2 David Charles Knadle left his career in business to follow his dream of serving his country. He joined the U.S. Army in November of 2012.

He achieved his dreams after he graduated from the Warrant Officer Basic Course as an aviator, where he favored the AH-64E, Apache helicopter.

He tragically lost his life while serving as a gun pilot on November 20, 2019, when his Apache helicopter crashed during a mission in Afghanistan.

He left behind his wife Silkey, stepson Eason, and daughter Starling.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the family’s mortgage on April 5, 2020 in honor of Gold Star Spouses’ Day.
